10th annual St. Louis Area Methods Meeting
We are excited to announce that the Department of Political Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MIZZOU) will host the St. Louis Area Methods Meeting (SLAMM!) April 21-22, 2017.
The meeting will begin the morning of Friday, April 21 and finish up the afternoon of Saturday, April 22. SLAMM! will feature an exciting lineup of faculty presentations by:
Suzanna Linn, Penn State University (Friday afternoon)
Rocio Titiunik, University of Michigan (Friday afternoon)
Bill Jacoby, Michigan State University (Saturday morning)
Kathleen Searles, Louisiana State University (Saturday morning)

Friday morning (April 21) will begin with 30-minute paper sessions for graduate students. Through the generosity of multiple sources in the University of Missouri system, SLAMM! has received modest funding to help subsidize the attendance of graduate students. To submit a proposal, send a paper title, abstract, and CV to Laron K. Williams at williamslaro@missouri.edu. Please use the subject "SLAMM proposal". The deadline for graduate student proposals is February 24.
We encourage you to attend this event which includes a social function as well as a lot of great methodology talks. SLAMM! is free to attend, but registration is required for accurate head-count numbers for meals and entertainment. If you are interested in attending, please go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2G6C8D7 and provide some basic information. The registration deadline is March 24.
A bloc of rooms has been reserved at the Broadway Columbia. Be sure to register by March 20 and use the code MPS to receive the discounted rate.
Feel free to contact Laron K. Williams (williamslaro@missouri.edu) or Jay Dow (jdow@missouri.edu) if you have any questions.
See you there!
